The Chamber was invited to attend at lunch at the House of Commons by the Westminster Africa Business Group on 21 May 2026. The guest speaker was His Excellency Kingsley Mamabolo, the South African High Commissioner to the UK. A number of Chamber directors and Exco attended the lunch. Chairman Dennis Zietsman was given a slot to speak about the Chamber and the work that the Chamber does in promoting bilateral trade between the UK and SA. 

HE Mamabolo spoke about South Africa not only as an investment destination and attractive country to do business with but also as a popular tourist destination. The former Minister of Environmental Affairs, Forestry and Fisheries in the South African government, Dion George, also attended as a guest of WABG and an interest debate about South Africa as a hunting destination was had. Although the industry attracts millions of dollars annually into the country there is also a darker side which still exits in the form of canned lion hunting. This appears to be a continuous battle to eradicate.
