Natalie Pollock
Natalie Pollock is incredibly passionate about the impact sport can have on children’s lives.
Having started her journey at Sporting Chance as a coach over 20 years ago, Natalie has grown through the ranks and now manages both of its arms, Sporting Chance Coaching Services and the Sporting Chance Development Foundation, a registered not-for-profit NPO with PBO status. Their mission is to give every child in South Africa the opportunity to participate in physical activities, regardless of their background, based on the idea that sport is a global language, which allows a diverse audience to be reached.
Over the years she has developed an understanding of the communities Sporting Chance works in and how to ensure the professional delivery of sport and education programmes. Her greatest successes have been optimising their operations and building connections with sponsors and partners.
Over 270,000 children across South Africa have benefited from the Sporting Chance programmes since the organisation was founded by Brad Bing in 1990. Sporting Chance offers an innovative sports platform for health and life skills education and their current programmes include: Disney Healthy Happy Play, Calypso Cricket, Street Netball, Street Soccer, Street Cricket, Table Cricket and their regular coaching clinics across diverse communities.
