South Africa Is Green!

7 October 2021
South Africa Is Green!

Congratulations to all who played an active part in the joint effort to see South Africa removed from the red list.

To all those who were involved, we thank you for your commitment to ensuring South Africa received the outcome it deserved. It’s a fantastic result, and a testament to the power of a global team effort with a single focus.

A concerted lobbying effort was made, which, underpinned by science, vaccination certificates, the vaccination roll out, low infections and a negligible presence of the Beta variant has seen South Africa stand up to be counted, and as a result the economy will feel the benefit.

We are all grateful to the UK Government for looking at the facts objectively and treating South Africa fairly. This will go a long way towards fostering trade and increasing tourism traffic, which are both fundamental to South Africa’s economy being given a further boost.
