Business Networking Breakfast Inspires Connection, Collaboration and Positive Thinking

The South African Chamber of Commerce UK was delighted to welcome members and guests to another successful Business Networking Breakfast: Connecting the South African Business Community, kindly hosted by Streathers Solicitors in London.

These regular breakfast events continue to provide an opportunity for South African professionals, entrepreneurs, business leaders and those new to the UK to strengthen relationships, exchange ideas and explore opportunities for collaboration between the UK and South Africa. With a welcoming and interactive format, every attendee had the opportunity to introduce themselves and their business, creating valuable new connections across a diverse range of industries.

A highlight of the morning was an inspiring keynote address by Brent Lindeque, founder of Good Things Guy, one of South Africa’s most recognised positive news platforms.

Drawing on his own entrepreneurial journey, Brent shared how what initially seemed like a setback ultimately became the catalyst for creating a movement that has inspired millions. Through humour, authenticity and practical insights, he encouraged attendees to embrace challenges as opportunities, demonstrating how a positive mindset, purposeful action and resilience can create meaningful change in both business and everyday life.

His message resonated strongly with those in attendance, reminding everyone that optimism and perseverance remain powerful drivers of innovation, leadership and personal growth.

The Chamber extends its sincere thanks to Brent for taking the time to join us and share his remarkable story. We are also grateful to Gregory Ostroff, Tania Verdonk, and the team at Streathers Solicitors for their generous hospitality and continued support in hosting these networking breakfasts.

Our Business Networking Breakfasts form part of the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to fostering stronger business relationships within the South African community in the UK, while creating opportunities for knowledge sharing, collaboration and commercial growth.

We look forward to welcoming members and guests to future breakfasts as we continue to build an engaged and thriving business community. If you have ideas for future breakfast themes or speakers, we would love to hear from you.
