Heritage Day Webinar: Charity Showcase

Please join us for our Heritage Day webinar at 12pm UK / 1pm SA on Friday 4th October 2024, which will showcase two charities who are making a positive impact on the lives of South Africans in need.

In this webinar we honour of the Heritage of South Africa, the foundation of our Rainbow Nation.  A nation that has voted for change.

The role of charities in South African communities has grown exponentially, as the population has grown faster than the economy, need has outpaced the government’s ability to provide for the people, particularly the young, on whom our future depends.

Many charities are developing models that focus on helping communities to help themselves, with education and skill development as key themes. Every child educated and empowered takes us one step closer to achieving a fairer, more inclusive society, but for each individual child, that change is immediate and transforms their entire world.

Education cannot be achieved without nutrition, family well-being and learning the soft skills vital to living in society.  The charities participating in this webinar cover all the elements to create successful outcomes which enhance communities across the nation.

Atlas Foundation
Atlas exists to support the world’s most disadvantaged children, who live in extreme poverty, without the means to grow and create a better future for themselves. We use rugby to change the lives of these children, giving them a chance to thrive.  Rugby is a unique sport, played and followed by a tight-knit global family. Values of integrity, teamwork, enjoyment and commitment help create not just better players, but better people. Its bonds of friendship transverse the world, touching people regardless of race, religion, or gender.

Do More Foundation
The Do More Foundation has a vision to "create better tomorrows for young children and families in South Africa" through collaborative partnerships. These initiatives include nutrition support, the provision of quality early learning materials, and parenting programs delivered across the country. The Foundation’s mission is to empower families and enhance child development.
