Ubuntu Global Networking WebinarAttending our monthly global networking event, on the last Thursday of each month, not only provides a valuable platform to connect with professionals from diverse industries but also embraces the spirit of ubuntu, a fundamental philosophy deeply rooted in South African culture. |
Ubuntu emphasizes the interconnectedness and importance of community, fostering a sense of togetherness and collaboration. Our virtual networking events offer numerous benefits such as: Intellectual property can be one of the most valuable assets of a business. However, all too often, businesses do not manage their IP assets (or IP risks) optimally. This can be crucial when it comes to obtaining investment or selling the business. Even if investment or sale is not on your horizon, if you are selling products or services which have valuable IP at their heart, your customers are likely to want you to give them certain assurances (and accept certain risks) in relation to that IP. Will you be able to give those assurances and properly assess those risks? Finally, if someone infringes your IP, are you going to be in a position to take enforcement action without unnecessary delay and cost? Richard will talk through the issues and provide helpful tips on how best to align your IP ducks. Richard is a dual qualified South African attorney and English solicitor, who has specialised in intellectual property law for 32 years (the past 25 in the UK). Richard works with clients in the UK and across the world to protect, enforce and exploit their IP. His work covers all aspects of intellectual property law, both contentious and non-contentious. Zoom links will be sent out in the 24 hours prior to the event.
