Only Africa can generate the kind of positivity, colour, vibrancy and creativity witnessed in London the past two days. Africa is a force to be reckoned with.

21 countries were represented at the Africa-UK Investment Summit, all eager to transform their countries. They demonstrated a clarity of vision as they effortlessly leapfrog old methodologies to embrace the digital age.

The UK can make a difference for themselves and equally, can make a positive difference in Africa, but the UK is not a front-runner in this role.

South Africa is perfectly positioned as a gateway to Africa, but will need active engagement and rapid action in order to capitalise on the available opportunities.

Post Summit drinks were held at Freshfield Bruckhaus Deringer on Tuesday, 21st January.
