A South African Night at the Opera - One Night Only |

| South-African soprano Caroline Modiba is a Young Artist at London's prestigious and highly-competitive National Opera Studio, world-renowned for producing the finest singers. She completed a three-year course for young artists (Incubator Scheme) with the Black Tie Ensemble opera company in South Africa. During her time with the Black Tie Ensemble, she performed the roles of Despina Cosà fan tutte, Adele Die Fledermaus, Violetta La traviata, Lucia Lucia di Lammermoor and Lauretta Gianni Schicchi. Caroline then joined the Cape Town Opera Studio, where she performed the roles of Donna Anna Don Giovanni, Clara Porgy and Bess and Susanna the Marriage of Figaro. She has also sung these roles in Barcelona and Bordeaux. On Monday 15th May, Caroline will be joined by her colleagues at the National Opera Studio to present A South African Night at the Opera, an enchanting programme of traditional South African song and much loved operatic repertoire in the beautiful surroundings of South Africa House. ![]() |
