Roundtable with Dean MacPherson

We are delighted to welcome Minister Dean Macpherson back to the Chamber in London after his last visit a year ago. Minister Macpherson oversees Infrastructure and Public Works since the formation of the Government of National Unity at last year’s elections.

In this meeting the Minister will be giving a short speech laying out some of the things he has seen and learnt in a year of government and his plans for his Department, and government infrastructure more broadly, in the period ahead.

This will be followed by a fireside chat with Chamber Director Peter Attard Montalto, exploring these ideas and how they fit with the Operation Vulindlela reforms, and National Treasury reforms, particularly to local government.  This will be followed by discussion and interaction with guests.

This meeting follows the recent meeting with Minister Barbara Creecy in September discussing logistics infrastructure reform, now taking a more expansive view of broader infrastructure. The meeting is part of the longstanding commitment of the Chamber towards supporting its members and the ecosystem of stakeholders in the UK explore the important opportunities around infrastructure in South Africa.
