Ubuntu Global Networking Webinar

Join us for our monthly Ubuntu Virtual Global Networking event on Thursday 27th February 2025

Attending our monthly global networking event, on the last Thursday of each month, not only provides a valuable platform to connect with professionals from diverse industries but also embraces the spirit of ubuntu, a fundamental philosophy deeply rooted in South African culture.

We’ll be hosting two dynamic networking sessions, where attendees can connect across industries, share knowledge, and exchange ideas.

Ubuntu emphasizes the interconnectedness and importance of community, fostering a sense of togetherness and collaboration.

Our virtual networking events offer numerous benefits such as:

•   Expanding professional connections, in the UK and SA
•   Knowledge sharing
•   Exchanging ideas and business challenges
•   Unlocking career opportunities
•   Enhancing visibility
•   Fostering a sense of emotional support and camaraderie

We are pleased to confirm that Dennis Zietsman, SAChamber UK Chairman, will be joining us to give a short talk on his plans for the Chamber.

Dennis Zietsman

Despite having qualified as a Chartered Accountant, Dennis always knew that his inherent entrepreneurial side would guide his career journey.

Soon after qualifying, he moved into merchant banking. Specialising in mergers & acquisitions, he formed a boutique corporate finance consultancy with two other partners. His major achievement in this field was leading a project to restructure the Anglo Platinum’s listed structures, being quoted as the largest corporate finance transaction in 1996.

During 1998, Dennis decided that he wanted to become principal as opposed to consultant in corporate finance deals and co-founded the Servest Group with a business partner focusing on the services industry, initially in South Africa, but soon expanding to the UK, USA and Australia. The business model for Servest was very much a buy and build strategy in order to achieve fast-tracked critical mass.  Dennis, leading a skilled group of entrepreneurs, grew the Group from R30 million to a revenue of R8,8 billion. Having stepped away from full time operations at the beginning of 2024, is currently a non-executive director.

He serves as a NED on a number of boards including as Chairman of the South African Chamber of Commerce UK. He also runs a successful coaching and mentorship practice and a global leadership development business aimed at high performing senior executives.

Participation is free, but registration is essential.

Zoom links will be sent out in the 24 hours prior to the event.
