Late Summer Drinks
Join us for an enjoyable evening of networking at the South African Chamber of Commerce UK Late Summer Drinks, kindly hosted by Investec at their beautiful London offices.
Whether you’re looking to grow your professional network, strengthen existing business relationships, or simply reconnect with fellow members of the UK-South African business community after the summer, this is the perfect opportunity to do so in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
The evening will also feature insights from the SA-UK Trust Network, who will share their work in strengthening the relationship between South Africa and the United Kingdom and highlight the exciting opportunities for collaboration between our two countries. We are delighted to welcome two inspiring guest speakers, Tricia Cassidy from mothers2mothers (M2M) and Luc Janssens, Chartered Accountant and Director of Mercantile Accounting, who will share their experiences of creating meaningful impact through their professional work, community engagement and commitment to giving back.
Enjoy a glass of South African wine, meet business leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals from a wide range of sectors, and make valuable new connections that could lead to future partnerships and opportunities.
Whether you are a long-standing member or attending your first Chamber event, we look forward to welcoming you for an evening of meaningful conversations, new introductions and South African hospitality.

Speaker bios:
Tricia Cassidy, M2M
For 25 years, mothers2mothers has developed health programmes across southern Africa, training local women as Peer Mentors to help families overcome stigma, gain access to health care, and stay connected. M2M has created over 12,000 jobs for women living with HIV as health workers, reaching 17 million people and keeping three million at-risk women and children alive. For 12 consecutive years, M2M has virtually eliminated mother-to-child HIV transmission among its clients. Tricia Cassidy, M2M’s Senior Director, has 20 years experience working on partnership development with ActionAid and the British Red Cross and will share evidence of M2M’s impact on vulnerable communities.
Luc Janssens, Mercantile Accounting
Luc is a Chartered Accountant and director of Mercantile Accounting, helps start-ups and SMEs scale, having worked in the same sector in South Africa. Luc brings that same instinct to his charity work, from his own Gold Presidents Award and his role as Vice-Chair of the Western Cape’s President’s Award Youth Committee to now serving as Treasurer of Goodwill and Growth for Africa UK, a charity that provides education and healthcare support to marginalised communities. As an Exco member of the SACC Young Professionals Committee, Luc will share why business success and giving back have always felt like the same project to him.
