South African communities and business chambers across the world are invited to share their plans and participate in International South African Expat Day 2026, taking place on Saturday, 6 June 2026. This global initiative serves as a unifying platform for South Africans living abroad to connect, celebrate their shared heritage, and strengthen ties to South Africa. Established through a collaborative, diaspora-led effort by community leaders in the United States, the day reflects a grassroots commitment to fostering global engagement and cultural pride.

With more than 40 events already confirmed across 14 countries, International South African Expat Day is gaining strong international momentum. Communities are encouraged to showcase their celebrations, whether through cultural events, networking gatherings, or traditional braai, as a way of highlighting the vibrancy of South African identity abroad. This is an opportunity to build bridges, deepen global connections, and celebrate the enduring spirit of ubuntu, uniting South Africans across borders in a shared expression of pride, diversity, and community.
