Nominate a Business Woman of the Year 2020

At one time, Penny was living in a homeless refuge with three children, but since, she has utterly transformed her life by turning a startup business into an empire, which includes the A24 Group medical recruitment agency plus the Benguela Collection, a wine, hospitality and leisure business that spans both South Africa and the UK. She is a regular industry commentator on entrepreneurial issues and women in business on leading news, business programmes, newspapers and magazines.

Penny, one of the eleven achievers recognised in last year’s ceremony, shares her experience of winning the Business Woman of the Year award which was sponsored by Freshfields.

“It was a great honour to be nominated for the award. The SACC Community & Business Awards is very special as it acknowledges the individual efforts of different people while helping to create a united South African business front. Receiving the award in 2019 has opened a lot of doors for me. I certainly have met some interesting and useful people as a result.  The award has also helped promote my businesses within the South African community in the UK. I remain passionate about working hard to grow and improve my businesses.”
