Professional Networking Event ? "Why Do Boards So Competently Deliver Mindless Exclusion"?

It is not rocket science that we need, as Boards, to behave in an inclusive manner to ensure Directors feel they belong, are respected and fairly listened to.

But...

Many many Boards competently exclude Directors or Executives who are not their clone, an inherent bias towards typically, gender, age, ethnicity, cognitive, experience, cultural, religion, social class, school and so many more.

The frightening element is that in most cases, those behaving “exclusively” are not even aware they are being exclusive and worse still, what impact their behaviour is causing to others.

During our conversation with the panel, we shall discuss how easily it goes wrong, what traps we stupidly fall into and what it looks like, and feels like, to the recipient of exclusive behaviour.  We want to be able to recognise our behaviour and put a firm end to excluding key team members.

Sharon Constancon, Chairman of the WCCSA Membership Committee and CEO of Genius Boards, will lead the debate with the panel. One topic she will address is whether COVID and the pandemic have given this “exclusive” problematic behaviour a worsening boost.

Or, on the other hand, have recent times allowed teams to think more clearly about themselves and their colleagues, potentially reducing the perception, or reality, of the many diversity biases that cause Boards to beave ineffectively?

Our speakers experience from over 20 years each in leadership consultancy will be shared, so we can all learn.
Their work has evidenced successful outcomes, how to develop mindful practices, how to create safe places and how to deploy people engagement and inclusivity successfully.
