Doing business successfully in South Africa by understanding Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment

Description: The South African Chamber of Commerce is delighted to present two seminars on Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE / Black Economic Empowerment). The first will be in conjunction with Maidenhead Chamber of Commerce on the 2nd March 2020 and the second will be on the 4th March in London.

Brexit opens up new opportunities for trade with South Africa. This Seminar is designed to give insights into one of the criteria for a successful business in South Africa, how to manage the BBBEE requirements.Come and join us to gain a deeper understanding of the BBBEE Act and associated Codes of Good Practice.

David White (left), a Business Development Mentor and HR Practitioner for the past 20 years, will share understanding of how BBBEE is encouraging learning and creating opportunity for SME's to access the economy.

Bruce Lennon (right), a qualified and experienced Practitioner in this complex field, will share insights and understanding of Black Economic Empowerment which he has gained from providing administrative and strategic support to small, medium and large companies since the Act's inception in 2003 and the Codes in 2007.

David White and Bruce Lennon work side by side each day, helping their customers to understand Black Economic Empowerment, and to remain relevant and accredited to trade services with their specific target markets.

Black Economic Empowerment is an important criterion for companies to trade effectively in the South African market. Once understood, it contains many opportunities for the development of human capital and effective supplier relationship. Companies wishing to develop business opportunities in South Africa need to be aware of the dynamics of Black Economic Empowerment legislation in order to take full advantage of it.
