An Evening of South African Excellence in London’s West End

It was an evening that brought a taste of South Africa to the heart of London — a celebration of culture, music, and shared heritage in a truly unique setting.
Dennis Zietsman, Chairman of the South African Chamber of Commerce UK, together with his wife Driekie Zietsman and His Excellency Jeremiah “Kingsley” Nyamane Mamabolo, South African High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, recently attended an unforgettable evening at the House of Sisters Grimm.
The night began with a performance of the Grammy-nominated musical INALA, a powerful showcase of South African music and storytelling. Performed by an exceptionally talented cast, the production captivated the audience with its energy, authenticity, and celebration of cultural identity — a reminder of the richness South Africa brings to the global stage.
Set within the distinctive and immersive space of the House of Sisters Grimm, the experience offered far more than theatre. It created an atmosphere where creativity, culture, and connection seamlessly came together, making it a standout destination in London’s West End.
Following the performance, guests were invited to a VIP South African wine tasting, hosted by Wine Director Julian Naik. The tasting offered a curated journey through some of South Africa’s finest wines, further enhancing the evening’s celebration of the country’s world-class offerings. The Igoli bar, in particular, stood out for its exceptional selection — a true showcase of South African excellence.
A special highlight of the evening saw the High Commissioner step onto the INALA stage, embracing the spirit of the performance and the cultural exchange that the venue so beautifully fosters. It was a moment that captured the essence of the night — one of connection, pride, and shared experience.
Reflecting on the evening, Dennis Zietsman described it simply as “fantastic,” highly recommending a visit to the House of Sisters Grimm for anyone looking to experience something truly unique.
In every sense, the evening was a celebration — not only of performance and hospitality, but of the enduring cultural ties between South Africa and the United Kingdom.
