The South African Chamber of Commerce UK is delighted to announce the launch of the Professional Women’s Chapter. The aim of this chapter is to serve as a community and platform for the development and support of professional women in business.
The Professional Women’s Chapter will hold regular events for professional and personal development to celebrate women in business. These events will provide excellent networking opportunities with an emphasis on development, inspiration and connection.
Each event will be hosted by different regions with a virtual option for those unable to travel.
The inaugural event will be taking place on 20 May 2021 at 17.30. The event will be a hybrid event, with an in-person event in Guernsey at KPMG’s office and as a live webinar for all other interested parties. Sharon Constancon, Chairman of the SA Chamber of Commerce, will welcome Natalie Finlayson and Maree Wilms as leaders of the chapter who will share the objectives of the chapter followed by guest speaker, Dr Catherine Van Heerden, who will be speaking on the topic of: “Becoming a Powerhouse”.
If you would like to attend, this networking event is free whether in person or via the webinar, you can book here. Please note, that if you are not already registered on SA Chamber website you will be directed to register when booking.
The talk will provide insights into what Catherine believes are some critical elements that can elevate us into becoming and being more powerful – in our personal and work life. After 27 years in her profession as psychologist, yet working as a business consultant, executive coach, facilitator in strategy and as an author, Dr Van Heerden has constructed what she believes are the ingredients to Powerhouse Leadership.
The Professional Women’s Chapter is open to all professional women who meet any of the following criteria:
• are a South African
• are passionate about the development of women in the workplace to reach their full potential and career aspirations
